Moisturiser + make-up

If you want to find a good moisturiser that works well under make-up, it's a good idea to ask a make-up artist, since they demand moisturisers that instantly refresh and won't affect the products they put on afterwards. Mel Arter, who's made up Eva Green, Florence Welch and Beth Ditto among others, says: "My absolute must-have is a moisturiser with spa water in it. Lancome Hydra Zen Neurocalm Gel Essence is a great all-rounder for everyone. I used it on the girls at the shows and it really calms their skin. I find a lot of others too heavy. People go on about these really rich creams, but I find all they do is sit on the surface of the skin. I also love Givenchy Hydra Sparkling First Step Luminessence Moisturising Lotion. I always use a water spray too." Two to check out then!

  2. Ooh, thanks. I need some new moisturisers to try. My all time favourite Avene one has changed it's formula and now I think I'm allergic to it!

Will have to try these out!

Loving your blog, Laura. Hope all is very well with you. Merry Christmas!
