It's a grey day

It's not a new trend, but I just tried grey nails for the first time this week and I love, love, love them! It probably helped that my chosen shade - Chinchilly by Essie - was expertly applied by the lovely Maureen at John Frieda salon on Aldford Street. Another grey I hear good things about is ASOS Paint by Ciate in Kate. These Mavala greys on Lipglossiping look cool too.

  1. I've been wanting Chinchilly *a lot*... but have been a little confused by some watches I've seen. Is it a pure grey or slightly taupey?

I think it's hard to dislike grey once you've tried it! Unlike green... which I've been wearing today and have considered chopping my fingers off on more than one occasion.

  2. Ha! Yes, green is great in the bottle, and prob nice with a tan, but on me in the depths of winter, no way! It's a pure, warm, mid grey I would say. very wearable! Thanks for the comment laura

  4. Hmmm, have been avoiding grey simply because I thought it might look a bit like tippex on my skin tone :-) ....but with the Asos Paint by Ciate - I think i might just have to give it a try. x

  5. Well you know what they say about red lipstick - the right one is out there, you just have to find it, I think the same goes for grey nail polish!
    Thanks for the comments!

  6. I'm not convinced by the grey (or green) hype. Give me a good old 'ballet slippers' pink or some mad WAH NAILS leopard spots but nothing in between!
